Introduction
Read Receipts let you see when your messages have been read, helping you stay informed and keep conversations flowing. This feature is available in both 1:1 chats and group chats.
In chats of 50 or less people this feature allows you to view which participants have read your messages and which have not. In groups of 51 or more people we will show reach of your message as a percentage, rather than a list of people.
Enabling Read Receipts
By default, Read Receipts are turned off for all organisations.
Admins can enable them for the entire company by toggling the setting on in the Org Setup page in Admin.
How to Use Read Receipts
On Mobile
In a chat, long press the message you’ve sent.
Tap on ‘Info’ in the menu that appears.
A panel will open showing either who has read your message and who has not or a reflection of reach, depending on the chat size.
On Web
In a chat, hover over your message and click on the three-dot menu (…).
Select ‘Info’.

Important Notes
Read Receipts are applied organisation-wide, they cannot be turned off or customised for individual users.
The feature applies to all chat types, including private 1:1 chats, group chats, and channels.
