What is Employee Intelligence
The Frontline Intelligence section in the Blink Admin portal is the analytics and insights hub for your organization. It provides reporting tools that help you measure and understand employee activity, engagement, survey sentiment, activation rates, and overall workforce trends—all through the lens of frontline operations.
It displays dashboards that show key metrics like:
Number of activated users
Engagement scores (how often and how deeply teams use Blink)
Participation rates in key activities (e.g., survey completion, recognition, content views)
Sentiment analysis from survey and feedback data
Trends over time or breakdowns by team, department, manager, or location
The system calculates this information using a combination of real-time and historical data which allows you to filter and dive into different groups or segments to identify opportunities and benchmark performance across teams.
How to access it
Go to 'Admin Panel' - only Admins can access this via desktop
'Admin Panel' will open in a secondary tab
Your Admin portal will open to the following page:
To access Frontline Intelligence, select one of the three sections to the left.
Sections
Activity
This platform overview allows you to monitor how app usage changes over time and across the organization.
User Activity - this view monitors when users are the most active and the number of users that have opened Blink within the specified timeframe.
Account Registration Score- this shows a breakdown of the total users invited, activated, and pending activations as well as actionable steps you can take in the tool to pull more users in such as resending invites.
Engagement
There are three separate sections in the Engagement portion: Chat, Feed, and Hub.
Chat - this view allows you to see all messages and chat usage on the app with the option to filter to see direct messages, group messages, or both.
Feed - See top-performing posts broken down by Comments, Likes, and Reach (if a user has viewed your post for at least 10 seconds)
You can also see your total Feed interactions for the whole organization, including Posts, Reactions, and Comments.
Hub - this report shows your total employees using the Hub, how many different items users access, what type of content is most commonly accessed, and your most popular Hub items from the last 30 days.
For all of these views, you're able to filter to a specific team using the search box at the top. You're also able to export the data and control the date range
Optimization
This view shows how your users are set up on the platform and what profile data is/isn't being populated for your users. By clicking the arrow icon on any of these tiles, you can access a list of users who don't have the desired information populated.
This view also supports additional filters so you can see how the profile data breaks down by department, job title, line manager, and more.
