Provides list of supported languages and how to request a new one to be added

From settings, you can select the language in which you want Blink to be presented to you.

  • Content Language—This language preference is used for On-demand translation. We will use it to translate other people's posts, comments, and pages. For more information about on-demand translation, please see this article.

  • App Language—Select the language used throughout the app.

For more information on changing your language preference, please see this article. Please note that this feature is different from on-demand translation, which is available as an optional paid-for add-on for our subscriptions.

Content Language

At the time of writing, Microsoft, which provides translations, supports over 90 languages. Please visit the Microsoft Support site for a complete list.

App Language

Desktop

English (UK), English (USA), French, German

Coming soon: Norwegian (Bokmål)

Mobile

Dutch, English (UK), English (USA), French, German, Hungarian, Norwegian (Bokmål), Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish (European), Spanish (Latin American)

Updating your language preferences:

From mobile;

  1. Go to settings

  2. Open App preferences

  3. Tap on Language settings - From here you can:

    1. Update your Content Language by selecting a language from the picker.

    2. Update your App Language by changing the settings on your device.

From desktop;

  1. From the settings page (make sure you're on the preferences tab)

  2. Scroll down the page until you see the Languages section.

  3. You can update your Content Language by selecting from the available languages. To update your App Language, you must make this change based on the computer's preferences.

Translated invitations

Invitation emails and SMS can be sent in other languages upon request. Please contact support@joinblink.com, confirm what company you are with, where you are based, and then what language you would like these invitations to be sent in.

How do I request another language?

Email us at support@joinblink.com, confirm what company you are with, where you are based, and then what language you would like added to Blink. Your request will be logged and addressed as soon as possible.

Can I help improve translations?

You sure can. If you identify part of our app that is not perfectly translated, please report this to us via suport@joinblink.com. This request will be passed on to native-speaking translators for review.

Please note we're aware that buttons on feed posts are not always translated and a fix for this is being considered.
