Feature overview: On-demand vs. Automatic translation

On-demand translation

With On-Demand Translation, you control when content is translated. Tap the View Translation button on Feed posts, comments, or pages to see content in your preferred language.

Automatic translation

If your organisation has enabled this option, content will be automatically translated into your preferred language whenever a post, comment, or page is detected in a different language. The View Original button will allow you to switch back to the original language.

Getting started

To enable this feature for your organisation:

  1. Confirm your consent to allow content to be sent to Microsoft for translation.

  2. Contact Support to activate On-demand or Automatic translation for your team.

Setting your preferred language

To ensure translations align with your preferences, set your language on each device you use.

Mobile

  1. Open your settings and go to Language settings.

  2. Select Translation language.

  3. Search for and choose your preferred language.

  4. Tap Done to save.
