How to adjust your app’s language settings and understand translation options in Blink

Updated today

Overview

Blink provides two types of language options:

  • Content language – used for translating user-generated content, such as posts, comments, and pages. This is powered by our on-demand translation feature. For more details, please refer to our content translation article.

  • App language – used to display fixed elements of the Blink interface, such as button labels, menus, and settings, in your chosen language.

This article explains how to adjust these settings, the differences between our translation types, and how to request new languages.

Types of translation in Blink

App language (Internationalisation)

Internationalisation is the process of translating fixed elements of the Blink app into supported languages. These translations are completed by professional translators to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Content language

Content translation is used to translate user-generated content, such as posts, comments, and pages, into your preferred language. This feature is similar to copying text and pasting it into a translation service.
