Blink Executive Sponsor Guidelines

How to get involved as the Executive Sponsor of your Blink rollout

Updated over a week ago

There are four key areas where your support will be crucial for ensuring Blink rollout success at your organization:

Participate in Steering Committee

Regular participation in the monthly Steering Committee sessions to assist with:

  • Strategic Direction: Provide overarching strategic guidance and vision for the project. Ensure alignment of project objectives with your organization's goals

  • Risk Management and Issue Resolution: Assess potential risks and issues affecting the project's success. Provide insight on risk mitigation strategies and provide executive-level support in resolving critical issues and escalating to other leadership where needed.

  • Resource Allocation and Support: Allocate necessary resources and advocate for the project within the organization, securing required support from other departments or stakeholders.

Drive Company Outreach

Participation in launch day messaging and guidance on effective channels to reach your workforce -

  • Advocacy: Emphasize the mandatory (or highly encouraged) nature of Blink usages and enforce agreed KPIs.

  • Support: Ensure the development and execution of effective marketing campaigns that announce Blink's arrival, creating buzz and awareness among the intended audience.

  • Endorsement: Attend Manager/Champion training to kick off the meetings with an introduction and endorsement of Blink.

  • Welcome Video: Create a welcome video for the frontline to be shared on Launch Day outlining why they should want to use Blink (we have templates and scripts to help!)

Monitor Launch Day Readiness

  • Competitions/Giveaways: Approve manager and/or frontline competitions and giveaways during launch.

    • Consider all options for incentivizing activation and adoption (raffles for gift cards, free lunch, swag, or other prizes)

  • Identify Key Sites: Provide guidance on in-person activation efforts with onsite visits for key sites. Identify who is best to lead an in-person rollout and what is the best approach for connecting with your frontline in-person.

Lead Key Decisions

  • Platform Ownership: Provide clarity on long-term Blink ownership after implementation

    • IT, HR, Comms, Marketing, Operations, etc.

  • Set Team KPIs: In your Project Charter, set project KPIs for relevant personas throughout your business to drive project success.

  • Personas to Engage: Provide insights on which personas to engage for buy-in across the organization.

  • Drive Utility: Ensure Blink has at least 3 compelling, frontline hooks.
