Engaging frontline management throughout your organization is key to ensuring adoption and long-term engagement of Blink.
However, not every manager is a natural-born communicator, and sometimes it's hard to deliver a consistent experience for new managers. The recommendations below should help you to empower your managers and set them up for success.
Host Manager workshops
Getting your managers together for a Blink enablement session, to share tips and tricks, is a great way to engage your managers.
Suggested agenda:
There is an example deck you can use at the bottom of this article!
Ownership & their role with Blink
Moderation tips & tricks
How to communicate & what good looks like
Concise, imagery, videos, and a personable approach
Using Blink Assist to create or improve posts!
How to manage their settings- notifications and language preferences
TIP! Record your workshop and upload it to the Hub!
Create Hub resources
Record manager training videos, ideally short snippets of each tip in a video library. Record your videos, then upload them into a Blink Hub folder or section. Read more about Hub videos here.
Create Feed post templates for your managers with useful content they can copy. Add your templates to a Hub Page or upload as a PDF file.
Share a suggested Feed content planner, to provide inspiration and reminders.
Create line manager Chat channels
Our Reporting Teams functionality allows you to automatically create groups for each line manager and their direct reports. This also auto-creates Chat group channels between each line manager and their direct reports, enabling instant communication.
Note: You must have "Line Manager" populated in your user profiles.
If you need to make any bulk updates, some guidance is here.
Create line manager Journeys
Journeys can ensure the same training is delivered to every new manager in your business. By creating a manager Journey, you can automatically share training videos (e.g. tip snippets & workshop recordings), and other helpful resources (e.g. templates, calendar).
Step 1: Create a group for your managers and configure dynamic rules to automatically add anyone with a management Job title, or anyone with a senior leader as their line manager.
Step 2: Create a Journey for this manager group, to ensure everyone gets the same touchpoints.
