Integrating external calendar and search to Blink

Instructions for linking your Microsoft/Google profile to Blink so you can access your calendar and files in one spot

We know how frustrating it can be to switch between multiple programs when trying to locate or organize information for your job. As a result, Blink is able to integrate in a number of applications directly into your app.

❗ Please note, the calendar and document search features are only available on the desktop and web versions at this time. ❗

In this article:

Connect your Microsoft profile

  1. In the desktop or web app, go to the Feed.

  2. Scroll down on the right side until you see the "Feed Setup" category. Select "Connect your apps"

  3. This will open a menu with all available apps for your organization. Click on Microsoft 365.

  4. Select "Connect" from either the blue button at the top or the + under Options.

  5. This will open a browser window or the M365 app on your computer. Follow the sign in steps for your Microsoft account to complete the connection.

  6. You'll now be able to view your calendar on the Feed page in the desktop/web app. You'll also be able to search for documents and such connected to your OneDrive account

Connect your Google profile

  1. In the desktop or web app, go to the Feed.

  2. Scroll down on the right side until you see the "Feed Setup" category. Select "Connect your apps"

  3. This will open a menu with all available apps for your organization. Click on Google.

  4. Select "Connect" from either the blue button at the top or the + under Options.

  5. This will open a browser window where you can sign into your Google account. Follow the sign in steps for your organization.

  6. Once you've signed in, you'll see the page below asking for permission to access your Google information. Click Allow to proceed.

  7. You'll now be able to view your calendar on the Feed page in the desktop/web app. You'll also be able to search for documents and such connected to your Google account

Troubleshooting

Why don't I have the option to connect my account?

All applications have to be enabled by an org admin before users are able to access them. Check with your manager to see if your organization has this enabled

I can't get signed into my Google/Microsoft account

Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with sign in issues for other organizations. Please reach out to your manager or IT team for assistance with this.

I can't see my calendar on the mobile app

At this time, the calendar integration on the main feed page is only accessible on the desktop.

I want to add a shared calendar for my teams.

This can be done by creating a micro-app in the hub. Check out this article for more information.
