Establish the permissions available to your teams for posting and other actions in Blink.

You can select who is able to post to your Team. Team permissions allow you to control who can send feed posts to any specific team through restricting/unrestricting access. There are three levels of permissions:

Admins only

Admins & Team Members

Open Team

All users

Team Members

Team Admins

Content Moderators

Organization Admins

How to edit this setting:

This setting can be updated by Team Admins, Content Moderators and Organization Administrators. You can edit this setting on the mobile app, desktop/webapp, as well as directly through the Admin portal.

📲 Mobile

  1. Go to Connect by tapping on the tab at the bottom of the app

  2. Under the My Groups section, click on "see all" to reach the view shown below.

  3. Select the team you want to adjust

  4. Click on the three dots in the upper right corner. If you are admin for the Team, you will see a ⚙️ cog/gear icon in the menu that opens

  5. At the bottom of the Team Settings page you will see 'Team privacy'. Tap on this.

  6. Open the section and select the setting you want for this team. Tapping on this will make the change immediately.

🖥️ Desktop

  1. Go to Connect by clicking on the section at the top of the page.

  2. Click on the > next to My Groups

  3. Click on the team you want to adjust.

  4. From this view, click the three dots in the upper right corner. As a team admin, you should see the Settings option as shown below. Select this.

  5. In the pop-up that appears, click on the Feed post rules you'd like to set at the bottom and then select "Update"

✏️ Admin

  1. In the Admin panel, click on the Groups section in the left-hand navigation.

  2. Click on the team you want to adjust. If you have a lot of Teams, you can use the search box at the top of the table to find your team easily.

  3. Click on "Feed post rules" which you'll find below the box to change the Team Purpose.

  4. In the pop-up that appears, click on the setting you want for this Team. Click update and you're all done.
