Restrict messaging privileges as an organization admin

Updated over a week ago

Organisations with a Blink Enterprise plan can have up to 3500 people in a single chat! In order to streamline the conversation, it’s sometimes useful to limit who can send messages to a particular chat. For example, in a large all-company channel with hundreds of members, it can be helpful to control who can broadcast to that audience.

How to Restrict Messaging

Only administrators have the access to restrict messaging in a chat where only admins of the chat are able to send messages. This can bring back some order to those larger chats!

To do this, please follow the steps below.

Desktop App

1. In the chat you wish to restrict, go to the information icon in the upper right corner.

2. In this menu, select the “Chat Settings” option

3. From here, toggle the “restrict messaging” option to the right.

Mobile App

1. In the chat you wish to restrict, go to the information icon in the upper right corner.

2. In this menu, select the “Restrict messaging” option

3. From here, select who you would like to allow to send messages
