What is live streaming?
Live streaming allows you to create a broadcast experience for your employees, for example for a webinar, All Hands or AGM.
You can broadcast from any RTMP provider which is a widely-supported streaming technology, available in Microsoft Teams, Zoom, OBS and many more.
How do I set up a stream?
You can set up a stream via the feed, and your stream will be played in the Feed as a feed post.
To add a live stream to your feed post, click the “Live” button within the post creation box:
This will then provide you the details that you need to start streaming from your chosen streaming software:
Do not share these details with anyone you do not trust. They will be able to start streaming to your feed post.
But, don’t worry if you forget them. The creator of the stream will be able to see them again on the feed post itself.
Posting a stream to the feed
You can, of course, add any additional Feed post content in the usual way
You can then post your stream to the feed. If your stream is scheduled to start in the future, you can optionally Schedule your post.
The stream will only go live when you start broadcasting to it.
How do I start broadcasting?
To start streaming, you need to enter the RTMP URL and key into your third-party streaming software. Usually, this will be within a ‘Settings’ or ‘Configure stream’ menu.

Sure! You can schedule your feed post in the normal way.
The post will be sent to your audience at the scheduled time. You will be given the stream details beforehand, so you can be prepared & ready to stream.
You could also set up your post to automatically dismiss at a certain time, too.
What do users see?
What do users see?
When live, the audience of your post will be able to watch the stream, including pausing and resuming it. Users can comment on the post as normal, but you can turn comments off in the normal way if you’d rather.
When you’re not broadcasting (before it starts and after it finishes), they will see a placeholder telling them the broadcast is not currently live.
If you are the creator of the stream, you will also be able to see a reminder of the stream URL and key to enter into your broadcasting software.

No. Currently, streams can only be watched live however we are looking to provide playbacks in the future.

Yes. This is an add on feature that will need to be switched on for you and may incur additional costs. You can contact your account manager who will be able to get you up and running based on your needs.
