Configuring Zoom livestream integration
This is a one-time setup per user. Once your accounts are linked, you won't need to repeat these steps.
Step 1: Go to your Blink profile and open Applications
Step 2: Find Zoom Livestream in the list and click Connect
Step 3: You'll be redirected to Zoom, where you'll be asked to grant Blink the following permissions:

| Allows Blink to retrieve details of your Zoom meeting, including the meeting ID used to set up the stream |
| Allows Blink to retrieve your Zoom user profile in order to link your Zoom and Blink accounts |
| Allows Blink to check which colleagues have given you permission to schedule Zoom meetings on their behalf |
| Allows the Blink app to run inside the Zoom meeting client |
Step 4: If you plan to start livestreams for meetings owned by other people, tick Allow this app to use my shared access permissions on the Zoom authorisation screen. Zoom explains this option here: Allowing Apps access to shared access permissions. You can change this later from Installed Apps in the Zoom App Marketplace. You do not need it if you only ever livestream your own meetings.
Step 5: Click Allow to grant permissions. You'll be redirected back to Blink, where you'll see your Zoom and Blink accounts confirmed as linked.
To unlink your account, just click “Disconnect” on Blink. This will revoke Blink’s access to your Zoom account and you will no longer be able to start Blink livestreams directly from Zoom.
Starting Zoom livestream on Blink
The integration is only available on desktop (web browser + Zoom desktop client). Setting up a Zoom livestream via the Blink desktop or mobile apps is not supported. You must be logged in to Blink in your web browser for the deep-link from Zoom to work correctly. If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to do so before the livestream post draft opens.
This integration currently supports Zoom Meetings only. Zoom Webinars are not supported in the initial version of this integration.
Once your accounts are linked, follow these steps each time you want to go live:
Start your Zoom meeting as the meeting organizer. You must be the meeting organizer of the Zoom meeting to be able to initiate a livestream
In the Zoom meeting, open the Apps panel and select Blink Livestream
Click Share livestream on Blink - this will open Blink in your web browser with a new livestream post ready in draft mode
Fill in your post details:
To: Select the audience (Blink group) you want to broadcast to
Post content: Write a description or title for your livestream
Category: Select the appropriate feed post category
Allow viewers to download recording: Toggle this on if you want viewers to be able to download the VOD after the stream ends
Click Preview to open the Broadcast Preview and validate your stream is working before going live
When ready, click Go Live - your post will be published to the Blink feed and your Zoom meeting will begin streaming
Return to Zoom to continue your meeting
Once the Zoom meeting is complete, the stream will finish automatically.
If the user has not linked their Blink and Zoom accounts as described in previous section, they will be shown an error, providing an option to connect the accounts.
Starting a livestream for a meeting you do not own
If a colleague has given you Zoom scheduling privilege, you can start a Blink livestream in meetings they own. This is useful where an assistant or events coordinator runs a meeting for a senior leader. You need all of the following:
The meeting owner has given you scheduling privilege on their Zoom account. Zoom explains how here: Using scheduling privilege
Your Zoom account allows scheduling privilege to be assigned. This is an account-level setting a Zoom admin controls: Managing scheduling privilege and alternative hosts
You have enabled Allow this app to use my shared access permissions for the Blink Zoom Livestream app: Allowing Apps access to shared access permissions
Your own Blink and Zoom accounts are linked, as described above
Once those are in place, the steps for going live are exactly the same as for your own meetings. Being promoted to co-host during a meeting does not let you start a Blink livestream, and neither does being added as an alternative host on its own. Zoom scheduling privilege from the meeting owner is required.
Requirements
Before using this integration, ensure the following are in place:
The Zoom Livestream integration is enabled for your Blink organisation (contact your Blink admin if this is not the case)
The Blink Live streaming add-on is purchased for your organisation
You have a Zoom Pro or higher tier subscription
You have have Allow livestreaming of meetings and Custom Live Streaming Service options enabled on your Zoom account: https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0059839
To livestream a meeting you do not own: the owner has given you Zoom scheduling privilege, and you have allowed the Blink Zoom Livestream app to use your shared access permissions
