Your employer will invite you to join via one of the following methods:

SMS or email invite
On mobile
If you received an SMS or email invite, simply click the link or ‘get started’ button to accept the invitation to join Blink.
The link will take you to download the Blink app if it’s not already on your mobile device, and then you’ll be automatically logged in.
The invite link is unique to you and shouldn’t be shared with anyone.
This is what you’ll experience when accepting your invite on mobile:
You will receive a SMS or email inviting you to join Blink
The link will direct you to the app store on your mobile, you can press ‘Get’ to download the Blink app and press ‘Open’ to access the app.
On iOS devices select “Allow Paste’ to continue

Depending on your organization you may be asked to enter some personal information to complete your profile
Joining Blink via Google, Microsoft or SAML sign-in
If your employer has set up authentication through Google, Microsoft or SAML, you will be prompted to join Blink and sign-in via the third party provider.
This is what you’ll experience when accepting your invite:
You will receive a SMS or email inviting you to join Blink , from here select ‘Get started’
The link will direct you to the app store on your mobile, you can press ‘Get’ to download the Blink app and press ‘Open’ to access the app.
On iOS devices select “Allow Paste’ to continue

Accepting your invite on desktop
Email invites can be accepted on your desktop. Click ‘get started’ from the invite and Blink will open on your desktop browser. You just need to accept our privacy policy and then you’ll be logged in.
The invite link is unique to you and shouldn’t be shared with anyone.
This is what you’ll experience when accepting your invite on desktop:
You will receive a SMS or email inviting you to join Blink , from here select ‘Get started’
The invite will open the web browser where you can review and accept our Terms of Service

Troubleshooting
I didn't receive an invite | If you haven't received an invite, please check with your manager to confirm that your account has been set up. If not, please ask them to set up your account and invite you.

I need my email or mobile number updated | For security purposes, we cannot update personal information such as your email address or mobile number. This can only be edited by an administrator within your organization. Please reach out to your manager or IT team for support with this.

I don’t know my log-in details for my central authentication service | Your central authentication service is managed by your employer. Please contact your manager if you don’t know your log-in details.

QR code posters
QR code posters offer a fast and effective way to join Blink. Scan the QR code with your device camera and enter the requested log-in data (this will be your phone number, email address, or a unique employee ID).
Tip: use the contact data that your employer holds for you, as this will be linked to your Blink account.
This is what you’ll experience when accepting your invite using a QR code and employee ID :
Use the Blink QR code scanner if you’ve already downloaded the app or using your device camera and scan the QR code in the poster invitation
This will bring you to the account claiming micro-app. Here you can enter your details such as employee ID. On iOS devices you will select ‘Open’
The link will direct you to the app store on your mobile, you can press ‘Get’ to download the Blink app and press ‘Open’ to access the app.
On iOS devices select “Allow Paste’ to continue
From here you will be prompted to enter your phone number and you will be sent a One Time Password (OTP) code for verification. Input this code where it says ‘Enter your code’

Troubleshooting:
I can’t scan the QR code | If you can’t scan the QR code with your device, speak to your manager who can invite you via email or SMS. |
I don’t know my employee ID | Speak to your manager to find your employee ID, or contact our support team. |
Blink does not recognise the contact details I have entered | Your Blink account is linked to the email address or phone number that your employer holds for you. If you have forgotten what that is, please speak to your manager or contact our support team. |

Starter pack
If your employer has issued you with a starter pack, simply follow the instructions in the one-page pack to join Blink.
Tip: if you can’t scan the QR code, download Blink and select ‘Not scanning? Tap to type’, then enter the invitation code from your starter pack.
This is what you’ll experience when accepting your invite via your starter pack :
Use the Blink QR code scanner if you’ve already downloaded the app or using your device camera and scan the QR code in the starter pack invitation

Troubleshooting
I can’t scan my starter pack QR code with my device camera. | If you’re unable to scan the QR code with your device camera, you can download the Blink app and try scanning the QR code with the Blink QR code scanner. Alternatively, you can select ‘Not scanning? Tap to type instead’ where you can enter the invite code found at the bottom of your starter pack. |

Choose an invite route:
We understand that reaching your frontline can be tough. That’s why we’ve designed a number of flexible routes for inviting your employees to join Blink.
You can invite users via SMS invite link if you have their phone numbers (organizational or personal)
You can invite users via email invite if you have their email addresses (organizational or personal)
You can invite them using the account claim app if you have their employee IDS (social security number/national insurance number/payroll number)
If you have none of the above you can invite users using a starter pack invite code
In addition to each onboarding route, our Line Manager Invite function ensures you’re maximizing reach by enabling line managers to invite their direct reports to join Blink.

The invite route(s) you choose will dictate the account activation experience for your frontline. In addition, the way in which you choose to authenticate a user's log-in will govern exactly what the user experiences when activating their account or logging in.
Pathway:
All routes will lead to the user to their device’s application store to download the Blink app
The user will activate their account using their data (phone number/email address/employee id/invite code)
User authenticates their log-in via an OTP, a password or SAML/SSO
Users registered with a phone number will always authenticate via OTP

Signing in to the Blink app on mobile
Once you’ve downloaded Blink and accepted your invite, you can stay logged in on the app. But, signing back in is easy if you need to.
Open the Blink app on your device and select ‘get started’. Enter the contact detail that is associated with your account by selecting either ‘continue with phone’ or ‘continue with email’.
You will then be taken through an authentication process. This is either via OTP code, SSO or SAML, or password and depends on what your employer has set up.
This is what a user experiences when signing in on a mobile device:

You can authenticate here using an OTP code, central authentication service (SAML/Google/Microsoft) or password authentication

Signing in to Blink on the desktop app or web browser
Open the Blink desktop app or visit Join Blink to open Blink on your browser.
Select ‘I already have an account, sign in’ on the landing page and then enter the contact details associated with your account (this will be an email address or phone number).
You will then be taken through an authentication process. This is either via OTP code, SSO or SAML, or password and depends on what your employer has set up.
This is what a user experiences when signing in on a mobile device:

I need to update the contact details associated to my Blink account | Speak to your manager who can help update your details in the system. This must be completed by your organization and can’t be done by Blink. |
