Keeping your app updated is important so you aren't missing new features and releases. This can also ensure you aren't missing out on any patches that fix any bugs.

Apple ID issues

If like most people, you have a lot of different emails or passwords and you can't remember them all you may run into an issue where you need to sign in to your Apple Account to install Blink but you can't remember either detail. If you click here you will be able to get help in resetting your password.

I am being asked to enter payment details

Blink is free to an end user, this is a common occurrence on the Google Play Store. Every now and then a pop-up will appear asking you to enter your payment details if you haven't entered them onto the Play Store previously. Blink is free to all end users as the licenses are paid for by your organization. There will be an option to press Skip in the bottom right, click that and Blink will start installing

Apps won't install from the Google Play Store

If the Blink app won't install, and other apps won't install either, then there is an easy fix.

  1. Open the system settings

  2. Find where it says 'Apps' and open it

  3. You will find a list of your apps installed on your device (if you click 'Apps' and don't see this you may see an option to click 'Apps' again to find the list).

  4. Search for or find 'Google Play Store' and click on it, this will open a new page.

  5. If followed correctly there will be an option labeled 'Storage', click that.

  6. Click 'Clear data' and 'Clear cache'. This will require you to sign in, but you will not lose any information, your apps will remain, and the 'Google Play Store' may even run smoother.

  7. Head back to the Google Play Store and Blink, and all your other apps will start installing again.

Minimum operative system requirements

Please note: to run Blink on your Apple iPhone or iPad, you'll need iOS 12 and above. For Android devices you'll need Android 5 (Lollipop) or newer.
