Comments on the Feed

Comments let users respond to Feed posts and keep conversations going. Post authors and moderators have extra controls to manage commenting on their posts.

What can I do with comments on the Feed?

You can follow or unfollow posts to control which comments notify you, filter comments by relevance to your team or location, and delete your own comments. Post authors and moderators can also turn commenting off on a post or delete any comment.

✅ What comments let you do

• Keep conversations focused - post authors and moderators can close comments when a topic is resolved.

• Cut through the noise - filter by relevant comments to surface responses from your team or location first.

• Stay in the loop - follow posts you care about and unfollow ones that no longer apply to you.

• Keep content clean - delete your own comments, or let moderators remove anything that needs to go.

💬 How do I turn commenting off or on for a post?

Post authors and moderators can disable comments on a post at any time - for example, to signal a topic is resolved or to pause feedback after a review period. Comments can be turned back on again whenever needed.

⚠️ If you disable comments when creating a post, you cannot re-enable them later. If you are unsure, publish the post with comments enabled and turn them off afterwards using the steps below.

  1. Tap ... to the right of the Feed post.

  2. Select Turn off commenting to disable comments, or Turn on commenting to re-enable them.

⭐ What are relevant comments?

A relevant comment is one posted by someone from your location, your department, or someone you manage directly. Relevant comments are marked with a star icon in the top-right corner of the comment.

To switch between Most recent and Most relevant comment views, tap the sort dropdown at the top of the comments section on any Feed post and select your preferred view.

🔔 How do I follow or unfollow comments on a post?

Following a post means you receive notifications when new comments are added. Unfollowing stops those notifications without affecting your other settings.

  1. Tap ... on the post you want to follow or unfollow.

  2. Select Follow post comments or Unfollow post comments.

🗑️ How do I delete a comment?

Moderators and admins

Moderators can delete any comment on a post they manage.

  1. Tap ... to the left of the comment.

  2. Select Delete for all users.

  3. Confirm by selecting Delete comment in the dialog.

All users

Users can only delete their own comments.

  1. Tap ... to the right of your comment.

  2. Select Delete.

  3. Confirm by selecting Delete comment in the dialog.

❓ FAQs

Can I edit a comment after posting it?

Not currently. If you need to correct a comment, delete it and post a new one.

Why can't I turn commenting back on after disabling it when creating a post?

If commenting is disabled at the point of creating a post, it cannot be re-enabled. This is a platform limitation. If you think you may want to open comments later, publish the post with commenting on and disable it afterwards using the steps above.

Who can delete comments?

Regular users can only delete their own comments. Moderators and admins can delete any comment on posts they manage using the "Delete for all users" option.

I can't see the option to delete or turn off comments

You need to be the post author or a moderator to turn off commenting or delete other users' comments. If you believe you should have these permissions, contact your Blink administrator.
